Joshua 23:13

know for certain that the Lord your God (Yahweh Elohim) will no longer drive these peoples from before you (from your sight), but they will become a snare and a trap for you, and a scourge on your side [the whip of the slave driver], and thorns in your eyes [that blind you] until you perish from the good land that the Lord your God (Yahweh Elohim) has given you.
