Second letter of Peter 3:10

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. [Jesus uses the same parable, see Matt. 24:42–44. Paul also does so, see 1 Thess 5:2.] On that day, the heavens will fall (pass away, perish) with a great roar (bellowing). The heavenly bodies will melt (break apart) in heat, and the earth and everything on it will be exposed (revealed, made manifest).
