First letter of John 2:22

Who is the "liar" if not the one who denies (habitually rejects) that Jesus is the Anointed One (Messiah, Christ)?
Such a person is the Antichrist [an opponent of God's chosen and anointed King], the one who denies (habitually rejects) the Father and the Son.
