Judges 6:2

And the hand of the Midianites prevailed against Israel, and because of the Midianites, the sons of Israel made caves for themselves in the mountains and caves and strongholds [natural mountain strongholds and cliffs – Hebr. masad; the same word as the famous ancient fortress Masada in the Negev desert].
