First Samuel 11:7

And he took a yoke of oxen and broke it in pieces and sent them throughout Israel by messengers, saying, "Whoever does not follow Saul and Samuel, so shall it be done to his oxen." And the fear of the Lord (Yahweh) fell upon the people, and they went out as one man.
