First Samuel 5:1

[According to the Talmud (a summary and interpretation of the Old Testament), the ark was in Shiloh for 369 years before it was taken into battle, see 1 Sam. 4:3–5.]
Now that the Philistines had taken the ark of God (Elohim), they brought it from Even-Ezer [in the valley of Elah, see 1 Sam. 4:1] to [their city] Ashdod [on the Mediterranean Sea].
