And Zelophehad, the son of Hepher,
had no sons but daughters, and these are the names of Zelophehad's daughters:
Mahlah [meaning: "sickness"]
and Noah [meaning: "movement"], Hoglah [meaning: "partridge"], Milkah [meaning: "queen"]
and Tirzah [meaning: "advantageous"].
[These daughters go to Moses and ask to inherit their father's estate, see ; ; .]
Then the daughters of Zelophehad [; ], the son of Chefer, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh of the family of Manasseh, the son of Joseph, came near. And these are the names of his [five] daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah, and Tirzah.
"The daughters of Zelophehad are right. You shall carefully give them a possession from the inheritance among their father's brothers, and you shall ensure that the inheritance of their father is passed on to them.
and they said, "The Lord commanded my lord to give the land as an inheritance by lot to the sons of Israel, and my lord was commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.
This is what the Lord (Yahweh) has commanded concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, 'Let them marry whomever they find best, but only within the families of their father's tribe shall they marry.
As the Lord (Yahweh) commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad.
Machlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, married the sons of their father's brothers.
But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters [; ], and these are the names of his [five] daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah, and Tirzah.
Machir took as his wife a sister of Choppim and Shoppim named Maacha. His other son was named Tselofechad. And Tselofechad had [only] daughters. []
