Text size:
Size of Bible text and introduction in read view.
On larger screens, the table of contents is displayed and automatically follows the reading, showing the current heading on the right side of the reading view (never displayed in mobile view)
To give more space to read the Bible text (especially on a small screen), the menu is hidden when scrolling down in the read view, but shown when scrolling up again. If you want to always show the menu, check this option. This setting only applies to the read view.

This option hides/shows all titles in the Bible text. You can unfold more specific options by pressing the arrow

In the city [see verse 5] there was a man named Simon. [He is often called "Simon the sorcerer," in Latin Simon Magus.] He practiced [occult] magic and had amazed the people of [the entire region]Samaria. He claimed to be something great.
Simon also came to believe, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to Philip. When he saw the great signs and wonders that were happening, he was beside himself with amazement. [Simon, who had previously fascinated others with his occult magic, was himself completely captivated when he saw the wonders that were happening in Jesus' name.]
Simon answered, "Pray for me (implore) to the Lord, that none of what you have said may come upon me." [The strongest word for prayer, Gk. deomai, is used here and in verse 22. It describes a prayer for a great need.]
