Moses said to the people: "Remember this day, when you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage (slavery), for with a mighty hand the Lord (Yahweh) brought you out of this place. No leavened bread (Hebr. chamets) [bread or food containing yeast] shall be eaten.
