Numbers 11:8

The people went around and gathered it and ground it in mills and pounded it in mortars and cooked it in pots and made cakes out of it, and the taste of it was like the taste of a cake of bread with oil. [There is a clear connection here to the bread sacrificed in the temple when the taste is described as a cake of bread with oil. This clearly shows that manna is more than just physical food; it is also a reminder of who provides and that we have a share in the heavenly.]
