Matthew 12:1

At that time [sometime when Jesus was working in Galilee], Jesus was walking through the grain fields on one of the Sabbath days.
[Sabbath is in the plural. It may refer to the regular weekly Sabbath, Friday evening to Saturday evening, or one of the high Sabbaths that begin and end the feasts. This event probably took place on the way to a meeting in the synagogue on a Saturday morning or during one of the holidays surrounding the weekly festival of Shavuot, since it was harvest time, see Lev. 23:21.]
His disciples were hungry and began to pluck ears of corn and eat.
