Genesis 33:18

And Jacob [continued westward, across the Jordan, and] arrived safely (in peace) at the city of Shechem in the land of Canaan when he came from Paddan-Aram [Gen. 25:20] and camped in front of the city.
[Shechem (meaning: shoulder) is present-day Nablus. The city is located in the central mountainous region about 70 kilometers north of Jerusalem near Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal. Jacob pitched his tents in front of the city, i.e., east of it in the fertile fields.]
