and all the other peoples whom the great and powerful Asenappar had taken away and settled in the cities of Samaria and in other parts of the province west of the Euphrates.
[Asenappar is another name for Ashurbanipal. He succeeded his father Esarchaddon as king of Assyria in 669 BC. Around 645 BC, they plundered the Elamite capital of Susa, and some of these peoples were taken away to Samaria and other places.]
