Exodus 20:2

I am the Lord your [personal] God (Yahweh Elohim), who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery (slavery).
[The Hebrew name for Egypt is Mitsrajim. That word was not used by the Egyptians themselves; they had the name Tavi, which means "two lands" and probably refers to Upper and Lower Egypt. The Hebrew word Mitsrajim derives from the name of Ham's (Hams) second son, Mitsrajim (Gen. 10:6). Mitsrajim is in the dual form, which may have to do with the connection to Upper and Lower Egypt. The meaning is not entirely known, but the word is similar to words such as siege, invaded, etc. By using this word, followed by "from slavery," God's work of deliverance becomes broader and does not only refer to the Israelites' captivity in Egypt, but can be applied to all possible situations and areas that can enslave and intrude on God's plan for a person. The second person singular (you) is used throughout—God is a personal savior.]
