Exodus 8:22

But on that day I will make a distinction for the land of Goshen, where my people live, so that no swarm of flies will come there, so that you may know that I, the Lord (Yahweh), am (exist) in the midst of the land (on earth).
[Here, for the first time, God makes a distinction between the Egyptians and the Israelites so that the plague does not affect the Jewish people.]
