Otherwise, if you do not let my people go, I will send swarms of flies upon you, your servants, your people, and into your houses. The houses of Egypt will be full (so that they are completely swarming) with swarms of flies, even in the foundations of the houses.
[The Egyptian god Khepri had control over all insects, flies, and beetles. He had control over creation and was even considered so powerful that he was the one who personally moved the sun across the sky every day.]
