Song of Solomon 5:2

[The fifth section (chapters 5-7; the longest in the book) begins with the woman recounting yet another night of searching for the young man. The passage contains questions from the daughters of Jerusalem: "Why" (Song 5:9), "Who" (Song 6:10) and "How" (Song 7:1). The passage is thematically related to the third section (Song 3:1–5). It is structured in the same way as the first six sections, with solitary searching, joint praise, and concluding union.]
I sleep, but my heart is awake.
Listen, my beloved (dearest) is knocking:
Open to me, my sister, my love,
my dove, my immaculate one,
for my head is full of dew,
my curls (my hair) with the drops of the night.
