Song of Solomon 8:5

[The seventh and final unit of the book consists of a series of speeches. Unlike previous sections, which always began with the lovers apart and then reunited, this one begins with them together.]
[Chorus:] Who is she who comes out of the desert,
leaning on her beloved (darling)?
[Man:] Under the apple tree I awakened you,
there your mother was in labor with you,
there she was in labor and gave birth to her child.
