Isaiah 53:7

[Now follow three verses that are thematically related to verses 1-3. There, the mystery of the root shoot was explained; here, the image of a lamb silently going to slaughter is used. Jesus did not argue with his opponents, see Acts 8:32; Matt. 26:63; Mark 14:61; John 19:9; 1 Pet. 2:23]
He was tormented (oppressed) and he humbled himself,
he did not open his mouth,
like a lamb led to the slaughter
and like a sheep silent before its shearers,
he did not open his mouth.
