Jeremiah 49:23

To Damascus.
Chamat is ashamed and Arpad,
for they have heard evil rumors,
they have melted away,
their anguish is in the sea, it cannot be silenced (calmed, soothed).
[The word for melt signifies a change that cannot be resisted. People are shaking with fear and cannot do anything about the situation.]
