[The Lord continues to speak to Ezekiel in the third vision throughout this chapter, see Ezek. 3:22. Shaving one's hair was not something a priest took lightly, see Lev. 19:27; 21:5; Deut. 6:5. Just as a razor cuts away hair from the face and head, so invading armies will cut away the people from the land.]
