Ezekiel 8:5

He said to me, "Son of man, lift up your eyes toward the north." So I lifted up my eyes toward the north, and behold, north of the gate of the altar was the throne of jealousy at the entrance.
[Previously, Manasseh had set up an image of the fertility goddess Asherah in the temple, as referred to in similar terms, see 2 Chron. 33:7, 15. In the temple in Jerusalem, idolatry and daily sacrifices to pagan gods take place.]
