Ezekiel 9:2

And behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate that is on the north [built by Jotham, see 2 Kings 15:35; the same area where Ezekiel saw sun worshippers, see Ezek. 8:16],
each man with his weapon of destruction (deadly weapon) in his hand.
And a man in the midst of them [with three men on either side]
who was clothed in white linen with a scribe's writing kit (Hebr. qeset) [Egyptian loanword for portable box with pens, palette, and containers with probably both black and red ink] at his side (tied to his belt at the hip).
And they went in and stood beside the bronze altar [Ex. 27:1–8]
