Ezekiel 9:4

And the Lord (Yahweh) said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark [Hebr. tav; the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet whose pictogram is a cross] on the forehead of all the men who sigh and cry out because of all the abominations that are done in its midst. [Rev 3:12; 7:3; 9:4; 14:1; 22:4]
[Now that those who mourned over what was described as happening in the temple in chapter 8 have been marked by the man in linen, the six other men go on to carry out the judgment. Cf. Ex. 12:23.]
