Daniel 2:2

So the king summoned his:
magicians (scribes, from the word for pen),
enchanters (exorcists, mediums who spoke with spirits),
sorcerers (engaged in occult witchcraft), and
dream interpreters (Chaldeans, an ethnic group but also the name given to a well-educated elite and priesthood in Babylon, who predicted the future based on mathematical calculations and the movements of the stars).
[All four of these classes of wise men served as advisors to the king. They were also priests of various gods. The Chaldeans were known for studying the moon, stars, planets, and comets. All of this was well documented on tens of thousands of clay tablets. Many of them are found in museums around the world. Naburimannu, a Babylonian astronomer from this period, managed to calculate the length of the year to be 365 days, 6 hours, 15 minutes, and 41 seconds—only 26 minutes and 55 seconds too long. He wanted them to tell him what he had dreamed. They came in and stood before the king.]
