Jonah 1:4

But the Lord (Yahweh) hurled (threw – Hebr. tol) a strong wind into the sea, and there was a mighty storm on the sea, so that the ship was about to break apart. [An unusual word is used for hurling/throwing, often used in reference to throwing a spear (1 Sam. 18:11). It is quite clear that it is the Lord who is preventing Jonah from fleeing his mission.]
