Matthew 6:24

No one can serve two masters.
Either he will hate one
and love the other
or stick with (be close to) one
and despise (not prioritize) the other.
You cannot serve both God and mammon (treacherous riches, money, wealth).
[The chiastic pattern in verse 24 makes the center and emphasis of the verse loving and holding fast to God. That is the basis for serving him.]
