Matthew 8:16

When evening came, many who were under demonic influence (demonized, tormented, and possessed by demons) were brought to him. Jesus drove out the spirits with a word (by speaking to them), and all who were sick were also healed. [The Greek word for "healed" is therapeuo, which describes a gradual improvement leading to complete healing. Here, the people are healed at once, while at other times it can take some time, see Mark 8:22–26.]
