Mark 1:1

This is the beginning [the starting point of my account] of the gospel (the good news, the message of victory) about Jesus the Anointed One (Messiah, Christ), the Son of God.
[The four gospels all have different starting points – beginnings. Matthew starts with Jesus' genealogy from Abraham. John goes back to the eternal Word that was in the beginning. Mark and Luke begin with John the Baptist. Luke starts with his birth, while Mark starts with his ministry.]
