Mark 11:28

They asked him, "What authority (power) do you have to do this? Who gave you this authority?"
[They are probably referring to Jesus' actions the day before when he drove out those who were buying and selling, but also to earlier events such as his entry into the temple and the children's praise of him. The answer, of course, is that he is doing his Father's will, but such an answer would lead to him being accused of blasphemy. The religious leaders' question is not an innocent inquiry but a trap, which Jesus easily sees through.]
