Mark 11:7

They brought the colt to Jesus and put their outer garments on it, and he sat on it.
[In biblical times in the Middle East, the horse symbolized war and the donkey symbolized peace. The entry into Jerusalem is a sign from Jesus that he is a king, but not a political or warlike king as many had imagined. Matthew, who writes for Jewish readers and often links events to prophetic predictions, also includes a reference to Zechariah in his account of the entry. "Behold, your King comes to you humbly, riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden," see Zech. 9:9; Matt. 21:4.]
