John 2:3

When the wine ran out, Jesus' mother said to Jesus, "They have no wine."
[If the wine ran out, it would be a great shame for the bride's family. It could even have legal consequences. The binding contract signed at the betrothal specified all the obligations at the wedding feast and the consequences if they were not fulfilled. Several important moments during the wedding ceremony involved raising a cup of wine and saying blessings, and if the wine ran out, the wedding ceremony could not be completed.]
