Acts 1:3

He also appeared to the apostles after his suffering [on the cross], giving them many reliable (completely obvious) proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them for 40 days and spoke to them about the kingdom of God. [In a similar way to how Moses was taught by God for 40 days, see Ex. 24:18; 34:28.]
