Acts 19:19

Many of those who had practiced magic gathered their books and burned them in public. They calculated their value and came up with 50,000 silver coins.
[Luke writes for Greek speakers, so he is most likely referring to the Greek silver coin "drachma". This was equivalent to the Roman denarius, which was a worker's daily wage. The total value of the books was therefore equivalent to about 160 years' wages.]
