First letter to the Corinthians 15:50

But I say this, brothers and sisters in faith:
flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God,
and what is perishable cannot inherit what is imperishable.
[Chapter 13 contains the well-known praise of love (1 Cor. 13:4–7). Worthy of at least as much attention is the hymn of the cross and the resurrection, see 1 Cor. 1:17–2:2; 15:51–58. Like the other hymns, it consists of three parts. These three all deal with the victory over death.]
