First letter to the Corinthians 3:3

The reason is that you are still carnal [and allow yourselves to be ruled by emotions and circumstances]. For as long as there is envy [the underlying inner cause] and strife [which is the fruit of envy] among you, are you not carnal and living like everyone else [without the life of the Spirit]?
