First letter to Timothy 4:16

Be careful with yourself [how you live your life] and your teaching [your theology] and persevere faithfully in this [your ministry, see verses 13-14]. [Order is important; personal life comes before what someone teaches.] When you do this, you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.
[The best antidote to false teachings is to present and teach the truth and to live in truth yourself, see verses 6-7.]
