Second letter to Timothy 2:1

[Each generation is responsible for passing on the Christian faith to the next generation. Paul was Timothy's spiritual father, and now he urges Timothy to train younger leaders.]
As for you [Timothy], my child [follow Onesiphorus' example, see 2 Tim 1:16–17], draw strength (gain strength continually, time after time) from the grace (undeserved favor) [power] that is in the Anointed One (Messiah, Christ) Jesus.
