Second letter to Timothy 2:2

What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust (pass on) to reliable (faithful) people who will be able to teach others.
[Later in the letter, Paul will ask Timothy to leave Ephesus and come to him in Rom, see 2 Tim. 4:9, 21. It is important that there are trustworthy people who can pass on the fundamentals of the faith. The word entrust means to place something next to a person; it is used in the sense of setting food on the table in Mark 6:41. The word was also used for a deposit into a bank account.]
