Hebrews 13:7

Remember your leaders who gave you (spoke, explained) God's word. Study carefully (reflect on) the outcome of their lives (the end result; how they ended their lives), and imitate (copy; take as an example) their faith (faithfulness).
[Many of the early church leaders were now dead – several had died as martyrs, e.g., Stephen and James, see Acts 7:60; 12:2. The word "imitate" is also used in 2 Thess 3:7, 9 where Paul takes himself, Silvanus, and Timothy as examples of how they had worked voluntarily in Thessalonica so as not to burden the believers there financially. John also uses the same word in 3 John 1:11 about following good examples. He mentions Gaius, who was faithful and known for his selfless love, see 3 John 1:5–7, and also Demetrius, whom everyone spoke well of, see 3 John 1:12.]
