First letter of John 5:9

If we accept human testimony [because we are accustomed to accepting human testimony],
how much greater (of greater authority) is not God's testimony?
For this is the testimony of God, which he has testified of his Son.
[He has told us the truth about his own Son. Only Jesus can give eternal life, see verses 11-12.]
