Revelation 2:9

I [Jesus] see (know with certainty) your persecution (the pressure, the harsh treatment you endure) and your poverty, but you are rich [spiritually, see Matt. 5:3]! [The opposite of Laodicea, where they were financially well-off but spiritually poor, see Rev 3:17.] I also know how you are reviled (blasphemed, slandered) by those who call themselves Jews but are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
