Revelation 7:14

I answered him, "My Lord, you know."
[This is the second and last time that one of the twenty-four elders speaks directly to John. The first time was to comfort him when there was no one worthy to open the scroll, see Rev 5:5. The elder gives both an explanation of where they have come from and what awaits them.]
Then he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
