Judges 11:17

and Israel sent messengers to Edom, saying, 'Let me pass through your land, I beg you,' [Num. 20:14–17] but the king of Edom would not listen. And in the same way he sent to the king of Moab, but he would not, and Israel remained in Kadesh.
