Ruth 3:13

Stay here tonight. [Again the author is careful with words so that it cannot be misunderstood. Instead of ”lie here” the word ”be here” is chosen, the same word used when Ruth says that she wants to be wherever Naomi is, compare Ruth 1:16; 4:13.] Tomorrow morning [at once] I will give him the opportunity to act as a redeemer [and marry you]. If he wants to do it, he can do it, but if he doesn’t want to, I promise that as the Lord (Yahweh) lives I will do it. Stay here until morning. [It is not safe for you to go away now in the middle of the night].”
