So Ruth remained at his feet until early morning. She got up early before dawn, before people could recognize each other, because Boaz had said to her: ”Let it not be known that a woman came here to the threshing floor.” [Boaz is careful to maintain Ruth’s reputation as an honorable woman, so no one would think she was a prostitute who had been there.]
