First Samuel 28:3

Samuel was now dead, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. Saul had removed (forbidden, eradicated) all the diviners who consulted spirits (demons) or family spirits (spiritists) from the land. [Lev. 19:31; 20:6]
