First Samuel 9:27

As they went down toward the edge of the city [ancient cities were always located on high ground, so the edge of the city probably refers to the gate in the wall], Samuel said to Saul, "Tell your servant to go on ahead of us." And he went on [out of the city]. "But stay here a while so that I may let you hear the word of God (Elohim)." [Samuel had a message from the Lord for Saul that he wanted to share with him privately.]
