And [Moab's king] Balak, son of Zippor, saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites [how the Israelites had defeated both King Sihon and Og].
And Moab said to the elders of Midian, "Now this crowd will eat up (literally lick up) everything around us, as oxen eat up the green of the fields." And Balak, son of Zippor, was king of Moab at that time.
