Esther 2:1

After these events when King Ahasuerus’ (Xerxes) anger had subsided, he remembered Vashti and what she had done and what had been decided about her. [Here we can sense that the king is wondering if he might have gone too far, as the word zachar - remember, recall - has a positive undertone indicating that he has not really stopped loving Vashti].
